Who operates Made Sick

Made Sick is operated by Dominique Devereaux / Loptr Lab. It is independent of Ren, Sick Boi Ltd and other artists or organizations referenced on the site. They do not operate this directory. Contact questions@loptrlab.com for private privacy or correction requests; use public GitHub issues only for non-sensitive reports.

Hosting and site requests

GitHub Pages hosts this site and logs visitor IP addresses for security. See GitHub’s privacy statement. We do not add advertising or analytics trackers in this build. This does not mean browsing is anonymous or that external services receive no connection data.

Public discovery and search

Story Finder sends the handle, date or search parameters needed by its selected public-data service to retrieve public records. Published-work lookup sends the entered handle or DID to Bluesky identity services, the relevant DID directory or identity host, and the identity’s personal data server (PDS). Those services can receive your query and connection data. Some filtering occurs locally. Public results do not make queries private. Do not enter secrets or sensitive information.

Joining and public participant records

Joining uses AT Protocol OAuth through your identity provider; Made Sick does not ask for your account password. The join page loads its OAuth client from esm.sh. Authentication uses browser-held session material managed by that client. After sign-in, you separately review consent and choose whether to publish a participant record in your own PDS. The public record includes your identity, chosen display name, directory consent timestamp and any milestone you provide. Do not publish health records or anything you want kept private.

Withdrawal deletes the directory participant record through your PDS. It cannot recall copies already indexed, exported or retained by other public services. Logging out is separate from deleting a public record. The optional link into PIXIE OS includes your DID, display name and milestone in the destination URL, where that service and browser history may retain them; open it only if comfortable sharing those public fields.

Local drafts and demonstration records

Optional pilot choices, a PIXIE habit cue and a Germ contact-policy draft are stored in this browser’s local storage. Their save controls do not publish them. Use the relevant delete or reset controls, or clear this site’s browser storage, to remove local copies. Exports remain in your files until you delete them. Shared-device users may be able to access stored data. Germ messaging itself is not operated or proxied by this site.

Optional external tools and media

The Streamplace iframe is requested only after the visitor chooses its consent and load controls. PIXIE OS and the discovery demo connect when opened. External tools may receive connection data and use their own storage and policies. Closing unloads an iframe but does not erase data the provider already received. Ordinary external links also open separately operated services; check their policies before using them.

Messages, retention and requests

Email correspondence is used to respond and keep the record needed to handle your request. Private correspondence is not permission to publish or quote it. We keep it only as needed for the request, ordinary records and legal obligations. Hosting, identity and other providers control their own retention. Ask questions, request access to information we hold, or request correction or deletion through the email above. Applicable legal rights depend on your situation; we do not promise we can delete third-party public copies.

Children and security

This project is not directed to children under 13 and does not seek their personal information. Contact us if a child has supplied personal information. HTTPS protects traffic in transit but does not guarantee absolute security.
