# Governance draft ## Profile states - **Editorial reference:** evidence-bounded public commentary. The person is not enrolled. - **Applicant:** the creator has requested participation; nothing is public by default. - **Verified participant:** identity control and selected public fields have been checked. - **Ally:** an opted-in creator who supports the campaign without claiming illness. - **Verified creative relationship:** released work or attributable statements establish collaboration; no health or participation status follows from it. - **Public recognition:** one creator has publicly highlighted another's work; it does not establish collaboration. - **Creative identity:** an artist-controlled persona, account, label, or narrative device publicly linked by primary sources. - **Issue-led creative collaboration:** released work plus attributable public framing connects collaborators to a defined issue; it does not establish lived experience, diagnosis, clinical authority, or campaign enrollment. - **Archived:** removed from discovery while preserving a minimal audit record where legally appropriate. ## Verification is field-specific A check must identify what was reviewed, its source class, reviewer, and review date. A profile-level badge must never imply that every claim is independently true or professionally endorsed. Acceptable labels include: - Creator-controlled - Publicly verified - Self-reported - Professional credential verified - Sponsored - Personal wellness experience ## Health and wellness Made Sick does not diagnose, treat, or validate medical conditions. Creators are never required to disclose a diagnosis. Personal routines must be presented as personal experience and must not promise diagnosis, treatment, prevention, cure, or guaranteed outcomes. Content involving health products, professional services, sponsorship, or affiliate relationships requires additional review and clear disclosure. Platform review does not replace independent legal advice. References to relatives receive heightened review. Do not publish a relative's disability or health status merely because a creator has discussed family experience; require a directly attributable public source, minimize identifying detail, and distinguish the creator's perspective from the relative's consent. ## Art-led disclosure Lyrics and other creative works may communicate illness, disability, treatment, grief, or mortality without naming a diagnosis. The directory may document an evidence-bounded interpretation when the work is connected to attributable public context. It must label interpretation as interpretation, link to the creator's official work, avoid substantial reproduction, and never translate an artistic narrator into a verified medical claim. ## Consent and correction - Enrollment requires an affirmative action by the creator or authorized representative. - Every creator-controlled profile must provide a correction and removal route. - Public references must be clearly distinguished from participants. - A creator may leave the directory without surrendering their AT Protocol identity or source writing. - Material disputes pause the affected verification label while reviewed. ## Private contact Germ contact is optional and creator-enabled. Made Sick should not proxy, retain, or publish private message content. Blocking, abuse reporting, and contact permissions must remain available. Artist DMs are never a mental-health care pathway. Fan pages, reaction channels, clinicians, peer-support organizations, and wellness publishers must follow [DISCLOSURE_STANDARD.md](DISCLOSURE_STANDARD.md). ## Public livestreams Made Sick Sessions are opt-in public broadcasts, not private support. Before publishing a player, confirm the creator-controlled AT identity and stream handle, topics, guests, recording and replay terms, media rights, moderator, content note, resources, and correction or removal route. Chat must never be presented as therapy, crisis response, or a confidential disclosure channel. No copyrighted episode, music video, recording, or other third-party work may be rebroadcast merely because Made Sick comments on or links to it. Use official links unless the relevant rights are documented. ## Sensitive-topic collaborations For work involving substance use, overdose, suicide, self-harm, abuse, or other potentially triggering subjects, publish a specific content note, the documented purpose, and qualified resources outside the artist relationship. Collaborators should approve shared campaign framing. Do not infer that depiction equals endorsement, or that participation proves lived experience. Claims about platform moderation require preserved primary evidence such as the artist's statement, a platform notice, a screenshot, or an appeal record. Until then, label the claim as reported and unverified; never present a platform action as proof of wrongdoing.
